"We're not going to Guam are we."

-Frank Lupidus

Lost podcasts, both audio and video, are released on Itunes. The Audio podcasts feature executive producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindeloff as they pre-hash the next episode and answer fan questions. Their answers to the fan questions are almost always hilarious and sometimes insightful. I’m going to start reviewing some of those answers for fans who miss out on these podcasts.

This first post will contain content from the first 3 audio podcasts for season 5. For a point of reference this brings us to episode 6 “316”.

· Someone asked for a translation of the hieroglyphs in the “Donkey Wheel” chamber. Damon explained that hieroglyphs cant be word for word translated because they are pictograms meant to convey concepts and ideas. He said the theme of the glyphs in that room was Resurrection.
· The place where “Smokey” dragged Montand and relived him of his arm was not the “Temple.” Consider it the outer wall of the grounds where the temple is. And we will definitely learn more about the temple.
· Montand was an inside joke. He was an aspiring concert violinist before he lost his arm. The Violin was his. Old Shtick: “Doctor, will he live? Yes, but he’ll never play the violin again.”
· Rose and Bernard did not die in the flaming arrow attack. You would have seen them die. But all of the other “Socks” died. “Socks” is the term they used for the other crash survivors that don’t have main stories. Niki and Paolo were the 2 biggest examples.
· The episodes “316” and “The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham” were written by Carlton and Damon at the same time. They could be watched in either order.

Well that’s all for today. I’ll try and watch the video podcasts and rehash them.
Till next time.
